ReSTORE Programme Graduation Event

On Tuesday, 22nd of January the South Yorkshire Workforce & Training Hub hosted the very first ReSTORE Nurse graduation event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Sheffield.
7 participants from the first cohort of the ReSTORE Programme have successfully completed their journey and now hold roles as qualified nurses in our local hospital. Additionally, 4 of the 7 participants from the second cohort are in the final stages of their journey, having passed all their clinical exams. A total of 11 nurses celebrated their graduation having passed all their exams and the South Yorkshire Primary Care Workforce Training Hub continues to support a further 24 nurses across 3 cohorts.
ReSTORE, which stands for Refugee Support, Training, Orientation, Recruitment, and Education, is a structured programme, delivered by the South Yorkshire Primary Care Workforce and Training Hub, designed to support refugee nurses living in South Yorkshire. ReSTORE aims to break down the barriers refugee nurses face in being able to work in the UK.
ReSTORE is built upon strong relationships with local authorities, DWP, NHS trusts, charities, and academic institutions, including the two universities in Sheffield. It aligns with the NMC’s processes, ensuring robust support for participants.
