Highlights from the International Women’s Day event

On Wednesday, 5th March, we proudly hosted a Women’s Health Event at Clock Corner to celebrate International Women’s Day 2025.
This event was dedicated to raising awareness about women’s health, providing essential information, and connecting women with support services in Doncaster.
We were thrilled to welcome over 50 women to our stand, engaging in important conversations around women’s health, screenings, and emotional well-being. The event ran for six hours, with 100% of attendees stating that they find this kind of pop-up health events very useful.
Throughout the day, we focused on important health topics that matter to women, including smear test information, raising awareness about the importance of health screening and early detection, mammograms and breast cancer awareness, how to identify symptoms, menopause support and provided easy-to-read resources on Women’s Health screenings.
We were also joined by the team from MacMillan who provided information on their services and emotional support available for cancer patients and their families.
It was inspiring to hear positive feedback from attendees, many of whom appreciated the opportunity to learn more about women’s health and well-being:
🗣️ “Really useful event and good to be raising awareness to encourage people to have their screenings.”
🗣️ “Great service! I have taken some information for my daughter around smears to prepare her for when she is old enough.”
🗣️ “Really helpful to learn about menopause and that it can start at any age. I now know the signs to look out for.”
