Our 2023 Charity revealed!

This year, we asked our member Practices and staff to cast their vote for the Primary Care Doncaster 2023 Charity. We are proud to announce this year, we will be supporting Doncaster Foodbank! Reasoning behind the shortlisting of this charity was due to increasing the support for those in need during the Cost of Living crisis, helping Doncaster Foodbank to supply three day’s of nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people of Doncaster.

Non-urgent advice: More about Doncaster Foodbank…

Doncaster foodbank is a project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in our local area. They operate three foodbank centres across Doncaster which are; St James’ Church, Rossington Holmescarr Community Centre and St Paul’s Church.

Those who attend the Foodbank Centres, need a Foodbank Voucher in order to claim their food parcel. These are issued by local agencies, more information on how to get help can be found here.

Non-urgent advice: How can you help?

Over 90% of the food distributed by foodbanks in The Trussell Trust network is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious three day supply of food.

You can view here the updated list of foods which are urgently needed and where you can drop these off.

The Primary Care Doncaster team are really proud to be supporting another charity, that will help local people in Doncaster. We will be sure to keep you updated on fundraising activities that we get up too throughout 2023!
