Join us for Know Your Numbers Week!

This September, Primary Care Doncaster is once again supporting Know Your Numbers Week, the UK’s biggest blood pressure awareness campaign.
High blood pressure is often called the silent killer because it rarely shows symptoms, yet it is one of the leading risk factors for heart disease and stroke. The good news is that it’s both preventable and manageable – and it all starts with knowing your numbers.
That’s why we’re hosting events across Doncaster over two days in September, giving you the opportunity to get your blood pressure checked, along with useful advice and resources to help you stay healthy.
📍 Event Details:
Wednesday 10th September
- 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM → Clock Corner
- 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM → Vermuyden Centre
Thursday 11th September
- 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM → ASDA Denaby
- 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM → Woodlands Library
What to Expect at the Events:
- Blood pressure checks
- Carbon monoxide tests
- Guidance and advice on how to monitor and manage your blood pressure
- Tips on healthy lifestyle choices
- Free resources and leaflets to take away
These events are open to everyone, whether you’ve never had your blood pressure checked before or simply want a quick update on your numbers.
By joining us, you’re taking a simple but powerful step in protecting your long-term health. So spread the word to friends, family, and colleagues – knowing your numbers could make a real difference.
The events will run alongside our drop-in GP Clinics on our Health Van, Vincent Van Cough, so you can also see a GP on board with no need to make an appointment. You can find more information on our mobile GP clinics here.
We look forward to seeing you there!
