On Wednesday, 8th October, our Head of Partnerships, Kristen Rawson, and Head of Service Delivery, Claire Bateman, took to the stage at the Best Practice Show in Birmingham to share PCD’s journey and talk about our mobile Health Van, Vincent Van Cough, and our partnership with Pure Physiotherapy.

They were joined by Vicky Maskill from Pure Physiotherapy, reflecting the strong partnership that has developed between our organisations through collaborative pilot projects and shared goals in improving community care. The session, hosted in the PCN Transformation Theatre, was chaired by Tara Humphrey of THC Primary Care, drawing a packed room of over 200 delegates who chose our session from a full programme of talks.

The talk focused on PCD’s journey, Vincent Van Cough and the services we offer to our local community with our Health Van, the partnership with Pure Physiotherapy. Our speakers also talked a lot about relationships and trusted partners, learning and outcomes.

Claire reflected on the day by saying:

“It was a great day of networking, learning and presenting. I was certainly out of my comfort zone today, but it was absolutely worth it for the personal development and really cementing relationships. Being on Tara’s stage was definitely a fan-girl moment!

Kristen added:

“ We had a full room, great engagement, good questions and lots of contact afterwards. Claire, Vicky and I stepped out of our comfort zones… but actually loved it!”

The talk prompted some brilliant engagement from the audience and follow-up conversations with colleagues from across the country, further strengthening PCD’s role in shaping and sharing best practice in primary care.
