Breast Awareness Session 29th June 2022

On Wednesday 29th June, members of the PCD Corporate team headed down to Lakeside Shopping Outlet, to raise awareness of Breast Cancer. The team had leaflets with all different kinds of information for patients to take away with them, plus we had our GP Karen Forshaw alongside, with a training mannequin. The mannequin contained of all different types of lumps which can be found in the breasts, which was good for patients to feel and understand the difference.

Overall we saw over 50 people come up to the stand and take away information over the 3 hour afternoon. You can see all of the amazing feedback we received below. The team will be returning to Lakeside soon to hold the session again, creating more awareness of Breast Cancer and how to check yourself regularly for signs and symptoms.
