Doncaster Medical Ball 2022!

June 2022 marked the return of the Doncaster Medical Ball, after 2 years out of our diaries due to the pandemic. An event which has always been a time for colleagues to get together with friends and family, to celebrate achievements and to raise money for charity. This year was the first time Primary Care Doncaster organised the event, after a group of GPs and colleagues had been running it for so many years before.

The night consisted of lots of entertainment, dancing, food and drinks! But most importantly, celebrated many different people’s achievements, birthdays (including PCDs 5th birthday!), thanks and appreciation for one another.

The Charity chosen to raise funds for on the evening, was the PCD’s 2022 Charity, Doncaster Mind. Our CEO, Laura Sherburn did a great speech, followed by Ania Jozwiak, Mental Health and Wellbeing Trainer at Doncaster Mind, who spoke to the audience about how the funds would help the local people of Doncaster with the services they provide. Throughout the evening we had a silent auction and raffle, and raised an overall total of an amazing £1,102.25 for Doncaster Mind, who we know will invest this into great services.

But it doesn’t stop there for our PCD Team and raising money for our charity, on 31st July the corporate team will be taking place in an inflatable 5K, so if you would like to sponsor us, you can do so here!
