Celebrating Six Years of Primary Care Doncaster

Today, we celebrate a milestone: the sixth birthday of Primary Care Doncaster. Six years ago, we registered as a company with three clear goals: to help practices become more sustainable and resilient, to facilitate access to local and national opportunities, and to provide our members with a voice in the healthcare system. Looking back, it’s extraordinary to see how far we’ve come.

From a startup not having any contracts to managing over 60 today, PCD’s growth and evolution have been remarkable.

Throughout this journey, we’ve developed and implemented many exciting programs and initiatives. We’ve expanded in education, workforce development, and integrated services. In collaboration with our partners, we’ve developed a wound care pathway, provided thousands of evening and weekend appointments, and helped keep talented GPs in Doncaster by sponsoring tier-two visas.

Of course, our achievements are a testament to our team and the hardworking individuals in our member practices. As we celebrate our sixth birthday, we are immensely grateful for our journey so far and excited about the road ahead.
