International Women’s Day 2023!

This International Women’s Day, we held a Women’s Health event with the aim to educate the women of Doncaster on important information about mammograms, smears and HRT, how to check for signs and symptoms and stressing just how important it is to attend the appointments you get invited for. We spoke to over 100 women throughout the day at both Doncaster Market and Lakeside Shopping Outlet giving out free goodie bags and information to take home.

On the day, we were joined by Radiographers from Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Breast Screening department and MacMillan support out of St John’s Hospice RDaSH. We had a local GP on the stand talking about Women’s Health and on the Health Bus taking walk-on appointments for any concerns they may have had there and then.
